# de Zwart

de Zwart is a small software firm based in Graz, Styria, Austria. Consulting and
delivery are available in German and English. We work on site across Styria and
remotely across Austria, Germany and Switzerland.

## What we do

- **Websites & web apps** — company websites, customer portals, online shops,
  booking systems and internal tools. Accessibility is built in from the start
  (relevant to the European Accessibility Act, which has applied since June 2025).
- **Custom software** — business software shaped around an existing process
  rather than the reverse. Replacing spreadsheet islands, automating recurring
  work, connecting systems that do not talk to each other, and taking over
  existing codebases whose original developer has left.
- **AI solutions** — classifying and routing incoming mail and enquiries,
  extracting data from invoices and delivery notes, assistants answering from a
  company's own documents, and forecasting. Deployable entirely without a cloud
  service, on the client's own hardware, when data must not leave the building.
- **Crypto & blockchain** — smart contract design and implementation, token
  issuance and migration between chains, staking and reward systems, and wallet
  integration including the user interface and running it afterwards.

## How engagements work

1. A free, non-binding first conversation to establish scope. No specification
   document is needed to start; a description of the problem is enough.
2. Delivery in increments — something usable every few weeks, rather than months
   of silence.
3. The client receives the source code and documentation and may take them to any
   other developer. Ongoing maintenance and further development are optional, not
   a lock-in.

There is no published flat price or hourly rate: cost depends on scope and is
quoted in writing after the first conversation.

## Our own products

- **mai** — an AI-native IDE and terminal that drives a fleet of Claude Code
  agents. Every feature is also exposed as a CLI verb, an HTTP API call and an
  MCP tool, so an agent can drive the interface as well as a human can.
- **SMITE 2 Companion** — a competitive esports statistics and league platform:
  live standings, player profiles, match history, tier lists and a draft
  simulator, built on continuously ingested match data.

Client projects are covered by confidentiality and are not listed publicly.

- The home page runs three live, self-contained demonstrations: a real Core Web
  Vitals measurement of the page itself, an inbox classifier (logistic regression
  over hashed word and character-trigram features) that trains in the visitor's
  browser and learns from corrections, and a live Ethereum panel proxied through
  the site's own server so visitor IP addresses never reach an RPC provider.
- The site sets no cookies, runs no analytics and embeds no third-party content.
  Fonts are self-hosted.
